National Bankshares, Inc. Announces Promotion of Shelley Hughes

James G. Rakes, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of National Bankshares, Inc., is pleased to announce the promotion of Shelley Hughes to Risk Management Officer.

Hughes began her career with the National Bankshares' Audit Department in February 2000. In 2005 she transferred to the company's Risk Management Department.

Hughes is a graduate of the University of Phoenix with a degree in Accounting and is currently attending the Virginia Bankers Association's School of Bank Management. A lifelong resident of Giles County, she lives in Narrows with her husband and daughter. She attends New Valley Fellowship Church in Narrows.
