National Bankshares Announces Promotion of Michelle Harris to Audit Officer

James G. Rakes, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of National Bankshares, Inc., is pleased to announce the promotion of Michelle Harris to Audit Officer.

"We're very pleased to offer this promotion to Michelle," said Rakes. "Working her way up through the Audit Department, she has consistently demonstrated knowledge, experience and skill, making her a valuable part of our team."

Harris joined the company's Audit Department in 1998 as an Assistant Auditor. In 2003 she became a Certified Financial Services Auditor, and served as Audit Manager prior to her promotion.

A native of Peterstown, WV, Harris received her Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from Bluefield State College. She currently lives in Blacksburg with her husband and two daughters. Harris is a member of the Blacksburg Christian Fellowship where she serves as Pioneer Girls Leader. She is also a member of the Margaret Beeks PTO.
